What is a company brochure?
A company brochure is a short printed or PDF document that introduces a business to potential customers. It explains what the company offers, shows its products or services, gives proof such as clients and results, and ends with a clear way to get in touch. Companies hand it out at meetings and trade shows, mail it, or send it as a PDF after a first call.
A brochure is not the same as a company profile. A profile tells the whole company story to partners, investors and tenders. A brochure is a sales piece for customers, so it focuses on what you sell and why it is worth buying. If you need a profile, see our company profile examples.
What to include in a company brochure
Here is how the sections usually fit into a 12-page brochure like the ones below:
- Cover: logo, company name and one line that says what you do.
- Welcome and contents: a short note from the founder or a summary of what is inside.
- About us: who you are, how long you have been in business and what makes you different.
- Products or services: three to five main offers, each with a photo and its key benefits.
- Proof: client logos, numbers, short case studies or testimonials.
- Process or how to order: what happens after the customer gets in touch.
- Team: key people with photos, if your service depends on them.
- Contact and back cover: phone, email, website, address, a map or QR code, and one clear call to action.
A trifold has room for about half of this. Use the front panel for the cover, the three inside panels for your offer and proof, and the back panel for contact details.
Booklet or trifold: which format?
| 12-page booklet | Trifold | |
|---|---|---|
| Size | A4, portrait or landscape | One A4 or US Letter sheet, folded in three |
| Space | 12 pages | 6 panels |
| Best for | Full company story, product ranges, sales meetings | Handouts, mailers, events, one service or offer |
| Printing | Stapled or bound, costs more per copy | One sheet, cheap to print in large runs |
Many companies use both: a booklet for serious leads and a trifold for events and reception desks.

Brochure design tips
- Lead with the customer, not the company. Open with the problem you solve. The company history can wait until page 3.
- One idea per page or panel. A heading, a photo and a few short lines are easier to read than long blocks of text.
- Use your own photos. Real products, staff and projects build more trust than stock photos. The preview photos are not included anyway, so plan your shoot early.
- Keep your brand colors. Change the template colors to match your logo and website so the brochure looks like your company.
- Add numbers. Years in business, projects done, customers served or results achieved. Numbers are what readers remember.
- End with one call to action. Tell the reader exactly what to do next: call, book a demo, scan the QR code or visit the showroom.
- Check before printing. Keep text away from the trim and fold lines, use the 3 mm bleed, and order a printed proof first.

Frequently asked questions
What is a company brochure?
A short printed or PDF document that introduces a business to potential customers: what it offers, why to choose it and how to get in touch. See the full explanation above.
How many pages should a company brochure have?
Most company brochures have 8 to 16 pages. Stapled booklets need a page count that is a multiple of 4, which is why 12 pages is so common. A trifold has 6 panels on one sheet.
What size is a company brochure?
A4 (210 x 297 mm) is the standard in most countries, and US Letter (8.5 x 11 in) in the United States. A trifold uses one A4 or Letter sheet in landscape, folded into three panels about 99 mm wide.
Can I use these templates as a digital brochure?
Yes. Export the finished design from InDesign as a PDF and send it by email, add it to your website or share it on WhatsApp. For screens, export in RGB at a smaller file size.
Can I edit these templates in Word or Canva?
No. They are Adobe InDesign files, so you need InDesign to change text, colors and images. Preview photos are not included; use your own or licensed stock photos.
What is the difference between a company brochure and a company profile?
A brochure sells your products or services to customers. A company profile introduces the whole business, including history, team and achievements, usually to partners and investors. See our company profile examples.
